hello kitty cookies.

my girlfriend made these.

in case you don’t know, chicago has multiple food trucks that drive around, tweet where they’re at, and sell cupcakes, tamales and various other goodies via the truck. yea, it’s pretty sweet. however, i work in the suburbs and am unable to obtain these goodies despite them teasing me on twitter during the day.

tuesday a “food truck summit” was held at goose island clybourn. despite it raining balls, they all convened in the parking lot. we got there an hour after it started and most were sold out. however we did manage to get some cookies and a brownie from sweet miss giving’s and some cupcakes from flirty cupcakes.

cookies were great and thick with huge chunks of chocolate, and brownie was the best i’ve ever had. the red velvet cupcake was INCREDIBLE. the cupcake was so red, moist and tasty, while the buttercream frosting was perfect. the other one had the same frosting and was stuffed with cream cheese and was also incredible.
